Everyone has an equal opportunity. It doesn’t always seem like it and even I doubt it myself at times. We tend to assume other people have it easier than us because they started their business already having the money to invest in it. Or they have it easier because they started their fitness journey already being skinny. Maybe they’re more sociable, making it seem like they have a leg up on you when it comes to meeting new connections.Whatever it may be, it’s all an excuse.
Each and every one of us has our own unique struggles. We are also all given the freedom to make our lives what we want. You have the same opportunities to go after your dreams as anyone else whether that be to become a doctor or travel the world. It all lies in your personal choices and your determination. DETERMINATION.. that is the key to making it all happen. How badly do you want to succeed? What are you willing to do or give up to achieve those goals?
NO MORE EXCUSES. Just because math doesn’t click with you doesn’t mean you should give up on your schooling. Just because you can’t take a short walk without huffing and puffing does not mean you should throw in the towel. It means you need to work harder! Take some time to discover your strengths and weaknesses. We all have them. Own up to those weaknesses and push yourself further in those areas.
Never stop learning. Seriously. Become a lifelong learner. Continue to do those things that you excel in and never stop working on areas you can improve on. Make it a goal to learn something new every day. Trust me, you will never be an expert in everything. There will always be something new to learn.
Sometimes your struggles are a blessing in disguise. It’s much more rewarding to work hard for the things you want most than having them handed to you. It’s not a race. You don’t have to get to your destination quicker than someone else. Take the time to expand your knowledge, grow as a person, discover who you really are and what you want out of life, meet new people, make new friends, and go through these struggles at your own pace. You will get there. But it’s important to make the most out of your journey, both the good and the bad.
I read recently that realizing how short life is actually promotes a happier lifestyle. When you know you don’t have much time, you make the most out of the time you do have. You cherish those small moments. You make time for the people that really matter. You focus on the things you love. It’s true, we only have one life to live and time goes by so quickly. How can you make the most of it? Is it really worth giving up something you desperately want because you think you’re at a disadvantage? Hell no! Keep going after those dream and forget about how far ahead other people may be. This is your journey and it’s about YOU!
